Troubleshooting
Having any problems with your DS in any way? See below. If your problem is not answered here, please email me, and if I resolve your issue, I will add it to this list.
Q: I don't seem to have any ROMs on my MicroSD and I can't view them on my R4 even though I put them on!
A: Chances are you didn't extract the .nds file from the compressed file, go to my .Rar and Archive tutorial.
Q: I can't play any videos on Moonshell!
A: You need to convert them to a special NDS format .dpg, using BatchDPG or SUPER converter, both are free.
Q: I can't play any music files!
A: They must be in .mp3 format, and only in .mp3 format, nothing else will work.
Q: I get white or black screens or errorswhen running a game!
A: You need to update your firmware by going to the Downloads page. If that still doesn't work, wait for the next firmware release.
Q: My game freezes right in the middle etc.!
A:Reformat your card as it may have gotten slower or fragmented. If that doesn't work, your MicroSD is too slow, get a Sandisk or Kingston.
Q: I have corrupted files or 0kb files on my MicroSD!
A: Delete them.
Q: My save file is corrupted!
A: Delete it and make a new copy. If that doesn't work, reinstall your firmware.
Q: Homebrew applications and games don't work!
A: Most likely need DLDI patching, go to the tutorial.
