If you are stuck on what to do when it comes to DLDI patching, you've come to the right tutorial.
Step 1: Downloading the required patch files
First off, check to see if the .nds file runs or not. If not, I will show you the easiest way to patch your .nds files. The R4 firmware claims to auto-patch homebrew .nds files like the DSTT, but it doesn't in most cases.
Download the DLDI Right Click Patcher and follow installation. After it has been installed, it will ask you to click all the flashcarts you have. Select R4DS and any others, and finish.
Step 2: DLDI patching the files
Find your homebrew .nds file, whether it be a game or application, and right click it. Select DLDI Patch. A Command Prompt should pop up, and ask you to patch the file. Hit a key, and then it will patch. Then it should say Patch successful or something similar, and then hit another key to close the window.
And there you go, a successfully DLDI patched .nds file! If it says something else, like an error or something, that file didn't need DLDI patching after all, so make sure you check to see if it works by itself.
